Volokolamsk Morath: She couldn't wait until they did it again...

Chilvary....seems to be nonexistent in today's times. Why is that? Isn't it still just as important today as it was many years ago in the medieval time? Don't women still desire to have doors opened for them, their chair pulled out for them, to be respected and adored by their male companion? I look at the relationships between my mom and dad and both sets of grandparents. That is what I want...and have wanted all along. IF my dad were still alive, he and my mom would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this past February. My mom remains alone by choice to this day since he died...as she tells me that there was and is only one true love for her. And despite his death, she loves and misses him dearly to this day. and so do I. While I am looking for someone with these traits, someone to finally take care of me romantically, physically, mentally, it doesn't mean I want to lose my identity either. I still want to work, doing what I love, taking care of people. But I do miss taking care of that special someone as well. Making sure the house is clean, cooking dinner for him and knowing he appreciates it, spending time just doing nothing as long as we are together. PLUS, having someone who can carry on an intelligent conversation about anything in the world, whether in person or email....certainly shows alot about a person.
